In Memory Elizabeth Sellars

Elizabeth Sellars

Elizabeth “Lib” Sellars was a Mercy Hospice volunteer since the doors opened in 1981. She was part of the first class of volunteers to go through the program and was still volunteering at the time of her sudden death on December 3, 2008.

She was always willing to help out, whether it was in a home caring for one of our patients, in the office typing, or working on a mailing. Her smile and the twinkle in her eyes always let you know what a kind and caring heart she had. She was always ready with a story and a laugh.

“Mercy Hospice is my favorite volunteer job,” she always said. She commented that she met the nicest people both among the volunteers and the patients.

“Lib” is and will be sorely missed by all the volunteers and staff here at Mercy Hospice.
