Celebrating Your Life

Celebrating Your Life,
While Impacting the Lives of Others . . .

Many family members, friends, and coworkers find it fulfilling to give a memorial gift as a way to honor a loved one, particularly when they know it was one of the last wishes of the patient. A memorial gift to help others in need is a truly special and enduring tribute!

Mercy Care had the first and oldest non-profit hospice serving Horry, Georgetown, and Marion counties. We have never turned away a patient who needed hospice services—regardless of their ability to pay. In order to do this, we rely heavily on the kindness of donations.

We invite you to build your own legacy and make a direct impact on the lives of other patients and their family members. Sadly, our staff witness far too many families having to make choices no one should have to at such a crucial time of their lives.
Groceries or electric bill?    Prescriptions or gas in the car?
With national and state budget cuts directly impacting Medicare and Medicaid Hospice Benefits and the the number of uninsured patients rising due to unaffordable healthcare, your gift means more than ever before!

You and your family will have the comfort and benefit of knowing that your forethought and gracious actions will profoundly impact other Mercy patients and family members in need. You may even designate your gift to a fund closest to your heart and your family will be notified with a card whenever a gift is received in your honor.

While making final preparations, the home’s staff will be able to help you create a Mercy Care Memorial that will appear in the newspaper(s) of your choosing. We hope that after prayerful consideration, you will wish to participate and help Mercy Care continue its mission and commitment to comforting the body, soothing the spirit, and healing the heart.
