Family Assistance Program
An anonymous “angel” has provided funds to start Mercy’s Family Assistance Program.This fund is intended strictly for hospice-enrolled patients in Mercy’s care and their immediate, primary caregiver. In order to distribute funds fairly and to help as many as possible, a Mercy Hospice Social Worker will make a home visit to review the needs and submit the request to our Executive Director for consideration.
Some examples of how caregivers have used the funds to date include paying a utility bill, purchasing an air-conditioning window unit, paying for a needed prescription, and buying groceries.
To donate to this fund, simply state so in the “Acknowledgement” section of our on-line form. You may even divide your gift among different funds, if you like.
